I have no affiliation with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aldi.us\/\">Aldi<\/a>, and this is not a sponsored review.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fish for folks who don&#8217;t love fish.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you love fish? Are you hungry? Maybe this product isn&#8217;t for you. The filets aren&#8217;t very filling. And I got 6 filets instead of the 8 suggested by the product label. I brutally dragged Costco for selling tiny chunks of their <a href=\"https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/2025\/04\/12\/costco-everything-seasoning-breaded-cod-review\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"8527\">Gluten Free Breaded Cod<\/a>. But this is worse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A serving only has 6 grams of protein. Yes, you heard me. Six! I&#8217;ve seen slices of bread with more protein. Aside from the portion size, I <em>really like<\/em> these frozen Parmesan Crusted Flounder Fillets. In fact, this might be my <em>favorite<\/em> item from Aldi&#8217;s Fremont Fish Market store-brand. So far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"623\" height=\"827\" src=\"https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Aldi_Parmesan-Flounder-Fremont-Fish-Market_bag-inside.jpg\" alt=\"Inside a bag of Aldi's frozen Parmesan Crusted Flounder Fillets.\" class=\"wp-image-13834\" srcset=\"https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Aldi_Parmesan-Flounder-Fremont-Fish-Market_bag-inside.jpg 623w, https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Aldi_Parmesan-Flounder-Fremont-Fish-Market_bag-inside-226x300.jpg 226w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 623px) 100vw, 623px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fresh and flavorful<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The fish is super fresh-tasting (much less &#8220;fishy&#8221; than these <a href=\"https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/2024\/07\/31\/aldi-frozen-flounder-fremont-review\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2434\">frozen flounder fillets without breading<\/a> from the same Fremont brand). I think even wicked fish-haters might be wooed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meat is tender and moist. It has a fairly neutral flavor (<em>especially<\/em> for flounder, which can <em>sometimes<\/em> taste strong), and is seasoned enough that I didn&#8217;t want any extra salt or sauce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"635\" height=\"827\" src=\"https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Aldi_Parmesan-Flounder-Fremont-Fish-Market_filet-side.jpg\" alt=\"A hand holding a side view of a frozen, parmesan breaded flounder fillet from Aldi.\" class=\"wp-image-13837\" srcset=\"https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Aldi_Parmesan-Flounder-Fremont-Fish-Market_filet-side.jpg 635w, https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Aldi_Parmesan-Flounder-Fremont-Fish-Market_filet-side-230x300.jpg 230w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 635px) 100vw, 635px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, the filet is so thin, I definitely felt that there was a high ratio of breading to meat. (As much as <a href=\"https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/2025\/06\/29\/what-i-buy-at-aldi-as-a-single-person-on-a-budget\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"6345\">I loooove Aldi produce<\/a>, I have not had good luck with their brussels sprouts. It&#8217;s worth the extra money to buy from Publix. Assuming you truly received 8 servings, each filet would cost only 88 cents! A super bargain. But, IF you only get 6 pieces of fish (like I did), each filet is $1.17. And, if you eat TWO little filets per meal (like I did!), it will cost $2.33 per meal. This <em>still<\/em> isn&#8217;t a terrible price. I baked at 400 for 20 minutes on a parchment-lined pan. The breading didn&#8217;t stick <em>at all<\/em> to the parchment, and there was no oil ooze. I didn&#8217;t need to flip the fish. The filets are surprisingly sturdy and easy to serve. I don&#8217;t think you can screw this up. It&#8217;s inoffensive enough to serve to folks who are aren&#8217;t die-hard fish fans. Kid-friendly, easy to pick up and tidy to eat. The price is staggeringly good for an entree, although embarrassingly small. And <em>shockingly<\/em> low on protein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even the official &#8220;Awesome-o-Meter&#8221; is scratching its head.
