Author’s note: These are my own weird little opinions. This is not a paid review. I have no affiliation with either BEST Egypt brand<\/a> or Publix<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sink your teeth into this thiccc juice.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Holy moly. This stuff is…wow. Not like anything I’ve ever tried before. I wasn’t planning to write a review when I bought it, but now I must.<\/em> It deserves a review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BTW, I don’t usually drink juice. But, I’ve been sweating my brains out in my backyard for the past month, and I find myself craving sweet drinks. I picked up this odd, single-serve “BEST” brand imported Egyptian juice at my local Publix. Here’s the scoop:<\/p>\n\n\n

Thick, but not pulpy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s thick. Opaque, even. Not quite as thick as a smoothie. But, thicker than milk. Slippery and creamy, but with no cream. The fruits are sort of blended up, instead of “juiced.” If there was a way to make fruit jam drinkable, it’s almost like that. But better. I’ll add that this isn’t obnoxious<\/em> pulp — it’s blended thoroughly, and suspended in the liquid. You won’t have lumps of fruit-flesh stuck between your teeth, or anything.<\/p>\n\n\n

Consistent texture<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Amazingly, the pulp doesn’t seem to settle or separate after serving the juice. I mean. I shook mine up, of course. But after letting it sit on the counter for 15 minutes, it was still fully emulsified\/suspended in the liquid. No weird stuff at the bottom. Witchcraft.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Strawberry-tropical flavor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I really think this brand has done itself a disservice with the label: “Fruit Cocktail Juice Drink from Concentrate” doesn’t describe it well. The dominant flavor is strawberry<\/em>. Full stop. But the thickness appears to be from guava pulp and carrot juice concentrate. There’s also a tropical vibe, from pineapple juice, and the sweetness of apple juice. It’s got a gentle brightness, without tasting tart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But. I’m tellin’ ya. The strawberry is the star of this show. I love it. Fantastic flavor.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Added sugar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Now the bad news is: there is<\/em> added sugar. The good news is: it’s the second-to-the-last ingredient. And, impressively, there aren’t any additional “flavors” listed — just the juices, sugar, and citric acid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did I mention fiber?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is a fairly sweet beverage. Between the thickness and the sugar content, it almost feels like a meal. That MIGHT also<\/em> be from the whopping 4 grams of fiber per serving. Fiber is always welcome around here. Get in my belly.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
