Of course.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bits of jiggly pig.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rana&#8217;s Chicken Carbonara Lasagna has a <em>great<\/em> smokey flavor. And a sharp kind of cheesiness. Almost a twang, even. Delicious savory rich taste. And nobody skimped on the salt. Like, <em>obscene<\/em> trillionare-level rich. I love fatty food, but even I was a little grossed out. Yes, food can be <em>too<\/em> rich. Just like people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s goopy sauce. Thick, and unctious. Almost slimy. It&#8217;s everywhere, and you can&#8217;t escape it. It might have worked with 50% less. And that&#8217;s weird, coming from someone who has complained about <a href=\"https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/2024\/12\/08\/costco-frozen-lasagna-kirkland-review\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"5435\">skimpy sauce in lasagna<\/a> before. It just doesn&#8217;t work with THIS sauce. Those complaints were mostly accurate. Some pieces are a bit rubbery. With a sort of processed texture. It&#8217;s not very tender, either? Kind of a char-broiled taste. Maybe some folks love soft, squashy bacon. I don&#8217;t. I had to spit it out. They&#8217;re generous pieces, and almost completely white and soft. It&#8217;s not accurate to call it &#8220;raw.&#8221; It&#8217;s just flaccid, jiggly, and chewy at the same time. <a href=\"https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/2023\/08\/21\/costco-deli-chicken-street-taco-meal-kit-review\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"287\">Jiggly bits<\/a>! Bits of jiggly pig! Piggly jig. No ma&#8217;am. Admit it.)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is lasagna just an expensive casserole?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I think the noodles are <em>fine<\/em>. (Better texture than the noodles in this <a href=\"https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/2026\/05\/09\/aldi-bremer-frozen-lasagna-review\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"13929\">Aldi Lasagna<\/a>.) But they reminded me of casserole noodles. I think of lasagna as a more structured dish. It has engineering and intentional placement. This was slightly chaotic pile. And there&#8217;s nothing wrong with that. Casseroles are delicious, too. But they&#8217;re not lasagna. (Or <em>are<\/em> they? And that has me wondering: if Rana had branded this a &#8220;Chicken Carbonara Casserole,&#8221; would it have mattered? I think we expect to pay less for a casserole. But I got mine on sale for $10.49. Since there are 6 servings per package, each slice would cost $2.33 at the regular price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shelf Life<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The &#8220;use or freeze by&#8221; date on my package allowed approximately 2 months to consume.
