Mind is officially bent.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You’ve had wafer cremes. But have you had LEMON wafer cremes? I opened the package last night expecting to eat “one or two.” But immediately gobbled six. I had to give myself a stern lecture to prevent the whole package from disappearing.<\/p>\n\n\n

These little dudes are bursting<\/em> with flavor. My mind is officially bent. I sat at my kitchen table mumbling “whoa” over and over again. Seriously scrumdeliumptious<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n

I think it’s the real lemon juice powder. It’s a strong, zingy, citrus kick. A shout of lemon. The aggressiveness shocked me. But it was a great compliment to the soft, lush icing. These guys aren’t for lemon haters!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also “natural flavors.” And some real vanilla bean. Plus just a touch of delicate, milky flavor from the skim milk powder and whey powder. But mostly it screams “lemon.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Definitely a completely different experience than the Lemon Danish Puff Cookies from Karens Bakery<\/a>, which had whisper-light flavor.)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

Speaking of that creamy filling, it’s such<\/em> a thin smear. But somehow exactly right. Like the Italian Loacker Wafers<\/a> I previously reviewed, Flora’s filling is made with coconut oil. My favorite! Since my Florida home is pretty warm right now, the filling is slippery and near-molten. At cooler temps it becomes more of a thick paste. Either way, it’s fairly sweet icing. A little goes a long way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The actual wafers are a barely-there gossamer crunch. Probably the most delicate wafer I’ve tried to date. As expected, they have almost no flavor or sweetness of their own. They’re just a vehicle for the vibrant filling. I appreciate how fresh and crisp the wafers are. I also had almost zero breakage. You guys are heroes.<\/p>\n\n\n

This is a small package. But since the crisp wafers get stale almost immediately, I don’t mind. I’d rather buy several smaller packages than one big bundle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the kind of product I love to keep on hand for unexpected entertaining. It’s the perfect dainty bite to serve with tea or coffee. A classy little treat that won’t break the budget. Like the Sprouts Lemon Cake Bites<\/a>, these would be a bright, festive addition to a summer tea party or garden party.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Flora has a few other flavors of these wafers, including: Chocolate, Hazelnut, Vanilla, and Strawberry. I bought all of them except the Strawberry, which I could not find at my local Publix. Alas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don’t know why I want this, but I do: I want a creme wafer with TWO flavors. One layer of each flavor. Like, Lemon & Vanilla. Or Strawberry & Chocolate. I’ve never seen this on a shelf. Why isn’t this a thing? Make it so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’d also really dig a coffee flavor or even peanut butter flavor version. Or (don’t judge me<\/em>): pumpkin spice. I would buy. I think we haven’t explored enough flavor options.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
