Allegedly, there is chicken.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I tried the Minh Mini Chicken Egg Rolls, because they were on sale at Costco. It’s Thanksgiving, so egg rolls seem completely<\/em> relevant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway. The egg rolls are impressively crispy with a fantastic<\/em> bubbled crust that is slightly chewy, yet soft inside. I love the flavor. It’s reminiscent of ramen soup with a splash of celery seed. It’s a strong taste, and quite savory. The package says no MSG<\/a>, so there is some other dark magic at work. My taste buds were thrilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the box says “freshly chopped vegetables,” that’s perhaps a white lie. Or a beige lie. The innards are beige and squashy. The filling is mushed together in a shockingly undignified manner. It doesn’t look anything like the product picture on the box. It’s best if you eat these rolls without looking inside. Just stuff them in your gullet, and remember: ignorance is bliss.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love cabbage, so I did find a few nice, soft cabbage blobs. I appreciated those blobs. I relished them. They were distinct, and chewable. But everything else looks (and tastes) like someone else already chewed it up before I got there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There might be chicken in here. Maybe. Allegedly, there is chicken. I might have tasted chicken once, in the 25 pieces I have eaten so far. The chicken seems to be a distant rumor, like Sasquatch. Maybe it’s there. Or maybe it isn’t. Chicken is beige. There isn’t enough protein per serving for it to matter either way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of that, you are supposed to eat three egg rolls as a serving. So I ate eight. Or nine. Who is counting. If you are only eating three of these egg rolls, you deserve some kind of award. Come on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cooked mine in my air fryer toaster oven at 400\u00b0 for 10-12 minutes, on a pan lined with aluminum foil. This worked great. They came out crunchy and lightly oily, and tasted freshly fried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The box comes with two plastic bags of rolls. There are eggactly<\/em> 25 pieces in each bag. Fifty rolls per box means I get about 6 meals total. Sale price is $6.99. That’s a great value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Probably, I am supposed to serve these at a party instead of eating them as meals. Probably.<\/em> But, this is ‘Merica, my friends. Pass the soy sauce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As previously mentioned, a serving is 3 egg rolls. There are only 4 grams of protein, but 6 grams of fat per serving, and 130 calories. One whole gram of fiber! Whooooo!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
