Pardon my French.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is no substitute for homemade whipped cream. None. No canned substance will ever compare. But, if I had<\/em> to pick a canned whipped cream, it would be this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pardon me, that’s “cr\u00e8me,” not cream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’ve been reading my reviews, you know that I will gladly spend a completely disproportionate amount of time blabbering about “cream” in the ingredients of any<\/em> food item. So, just imagine how much I can blabber about a product (almost) entirely<\/em> consisting of cream! Buckle up, my friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s so special about this “cr\u00e8me”?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

What exactly makes Pr\u00e9sident Whipped Cr\u00e8me different from other brands? For me, it tastes more natural. It’s light and airy, but the buttery cream flavor is more “present” than other canned whipped creams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also appreciate the real “Madagascar Vanilla Extract.” There are no other flavoring here, just the genuine vanilla. It’s a subtle<\/em> flavor, but it does makes a difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I like the restrained sweetness of Pr\u00e9sident’s whipped cream. It’s enough to be a dessert item, but not so much that it overpowers the other tastes in your last course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Do you also loooove cream? Perhaps you will enjoy my review of Aldi’s Strawberry Creme Cake<\/a>, which features real cream and strawberries and is imported from Germany.)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The whipped cream (ahem, “cr\u00e8me”) texture is light and airy, but it does hold a pretty good shape. The can promises it “Holds Longer.” Honestly, that phrase is uncomfortably reminiscent of cheap hair spray, TBH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, does it hold longer? Yes, it does. Somewhat longer. It’s still<\/em> natural whipped cream, so it will begin to deflate within 10 minutes, and melt\/separate within 30 minutes or so of dispensing. Here it is on a plate after a full 40 minutes. It’s about 1\/4 the height it started, and the liquid is puddling around the base:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, I actually did a little experiment on my kitchen table to test this. I clearly need to get a life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did I do with my Pr\u00e9sident Whipped Creme?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I used this whipped cream to top some homemade cranberry-pecan brownies (I have a recipe here, as well as a review of the chocolate chips<\/a> I used<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it was delicious on top of this homemade hot chocolate. Yes, I sprinkled nutmeg on top. Because, nutmeg. If you don’t like nutmeg, we can’t be friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, this whipped cream was a luscious contrast to these fresh, tangy strawberries. And nutmeg.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aaaand I tried it on my very ugly Thanksgiving pies. Don’t worry, they had great personalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Price and Servings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you’re wondering why everyone<\/em> isn’t buying this (clearly superior) whipped cream instead of the more mainstream brands, the obvious answer is: it’s more expensive. A single 10-ounce can will set you back an eye-watering $6.50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In happier news, I’ve found this goes on sale at my local Publix a couple times a year. At a BOGO price, this is actually a great value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s worth pointing out that the can size is 10 ounces, as compared to 14 ounces for similarly-priced whipped cream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laughably, the label says there are 47 servings per can. That’s hilarious<\/em>. If you manage to get 47 servings from this can, you don’t love whipped cream enough. You don’t even deserve<\/em> whipped cream! I got maybe 6-8 servings. Because my<\/em> priorities are in the right place. *sniffs primly*<\/p>\n\n\n\n
