But I&#8217;m willing to try.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In a rare turn of events, I find myself wishing for a bigger bag of sausages. Two pounds is not enough. I usually whine about how I don&#8217;t need to buy <em>such<\/em> huge sacks of Costco food at once. But, in this instance, I need moooore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because these little breakfast-style sausage links are <em>astonishingly<\/em> good. There&#8217;s a fabulous savory, spiced-but-not-spicy flavor that is almost addictive. It tastes like fennel, maybe. Sage? Slightly citrusy, from the added lemon peel. And a subtle, sweet undertone, despite having zero sugar. Perhaps it is the sweetness of nutmeg, or allspice, or some other haunting spice combination. It&#8217;s a true &#8220;breakfast sausage&#8221; consistency &#8212; a bit chunky. I like this better than meatloaf-smoothness. For being <em>chicken<\/em> sausage, I was impressed by the juiciness. The links are structured, but fork-tender. Since there are no fillers in the meat, this is remarkable. Instead of water, I cooked mine in a pan with some butter. Mine turned out browned and crisp on the outside, and juicy-soft on the inside, with a beautiful caramelized taste. I&#8217;m glad I messed this up. As a single person, these are ideal. It takes less than five minutes to prepare them. I loved them sliced over <a href=\"https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/2025\/07\/02\/costco-kirkland-five-cheese-tortelloni-review\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"9983\">Costco&#8217;s Five Cheese Tortelloni<\/a> and topped with <a href=\"https:\/\/snarklesauce.com\/blog\/2025\/07\/08\/costco-basil-pesto-review\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"9989\">Kirkland Basil Pesto<\/a>. The sausage flavor is a magical pairing with the cheesy-basil. I cooked 6 sausage links in butter, diced them into small pieces, and added them to the quiche batter. It turned out even better than I anticipated. The savory sausage flavors worked magnificently with the tangy swiss and bright tomatoes. If you try it, let me know how it goes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s no sugar in these sausages. If you prefer sweeter, you can add a drizzle of maple syrup when cooking them in the skillet. A little hot sauce added while heating will give them a spicy kick. There are so many possibilities, it would be hard to grow tired of these meaty bundles. I cook mine in an uncovered ceramic frying pan, and roll the sausages every 1-2 minutes, so that they brown evenly. Takes about 4.5 minutes. On my high-tech &#8220;Awesome-o-Meter,&#8221; the score is &#8220;Speechless.&#8221; They&#8217;re <em>so<\/em> good, I&#8217;m wondering why they don&#8217;t come in a 4 pound, or 6 pound bag. I&#8217;d buy more! They&#8217;re flavorful and have a great soft-but-structured texture. I love that they&#8217;re made with natural ingredients, and no fillers. I found them super convenient and versatile.
